Welcome to our online journal page! Our adventure began in 2007 with a small blog in Romanian where we sporadically shared various impressions about the milling and baking industry. After 10 years in the virtual space, during which we gathered over 500 articles, we deemed it necessary to overhaul this site. Both technology and the behavior of our visitors underwent significant changes. So, in 2017, we completely redesigned the site, retaining only the most viewed articles. We aimed to create an interface that is intuitive and user-friendly, accessible to users accessing us from various devices.
Starting in 2023, we decided to transition to articles published in English, so that by 2024, English will be the site’s primary language. For this international version, we created a new web address, www.millingtobaking.com, which will serve as the main address and operate in parallel with the old address, www.moraritsipanificatie.eu. We will not abandon Romanian; all articles published in English will have their Romanian version in the footer.
Despite these significant changes, we want to assure you that our goal remains the same: providing accurate information, disseminating scientific information in the field of milling and baking, and defending consumers against the aggressive wave of pseudoscientific information, fake news, and superficial opinions. We aim to maintain the site’s reputation and adhere to scientific ethics and academic principles in presenting information and opinions.
We do not seek to cultivate controversies, adopt a confrontational attitude, or display aggression. However, we encourage the exchange of ideas and the identification of errors, including those we may unintentionally commit now or in the future. Our effort is non-monetary; everything here is free and stems from a passion for sharing what we know and discover. We believe that, at least for this, we deserve to be treated with politeness and understanding.
